I love to eat momo 😍. When I was in Kolkata I used to have them frequently with my friends. In the city of joy, you will find these dumplings in every street, that too very cheap:o. They serve it with a clear soup and schezwan chutney (lol, I’m salivating🙊). But it is not easily available where I live now :'(. So, I have no choice other than making it at home. Actually it is not that difficult and I can stuff it with any filling I want.

Let’s start…

For the Dough

1.5 cup all purpose flour

1 tbsp oil

½ tsp salt

Water as required

Filling

150g minced chicken (if you are making veg momo, replace with 1 cup soaked soya granules or add more veggies)

½ cup chopped cabbage

3 tbsp chopped carrots

2 tbsp chopped capsicum

2 small onions, chopped

8-10 cloves of garlic, finely chopped

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!!!🎆🎇🎉

To celebrate the last day of the year 2014 my mother decided to make naan, kheema, some side dishes and an East Indian delicacy, nolen gurer payesh or it is a kind of rice pudding made with date jaggery. 😃 (Anyway, I will tell you about that one later.) So I had nothing to do. That’s why I thought of trying a new recipe and it turned out great.😆 It tastes yum, it’s healthy and very easy to make. Best for children.

Recipe for my version of Chicken Meat Loaf

250g minced chicken 🍗
3/4th cup soya granules
2tbsp chopped carrots
2tbsp chopped beans
(add any veggies you want to feed your children, chopped finely)
1 medium onion chopped
6-8 cloves of garlic chopped
1tsp grated ginger
1tsp chopped chilli
1 egg
1 cup bread crumbs
2tbsp olive oil (any oil will do)
2tbsp lime juice
